Sistem Akuifer Kars Waekabubak, Sumba Barat, Berdasarkan Analisis Densitas Kelurusan Morfologi dan Variasi Spasial Hidrogeokimia

Taat Setiawan

Abstract

ABSTRACT
Karstic aquifer system in Waekabubak and its surrounding area have highgroundwater potential. This study was conducted using an analysis of lineament density, karstic spring discharge, stable isotopes of 2H and 18O, saturation index of CaCO3, and partial pressure of CO2. The results show that during dry season, groundwater flow system dominantly come from diffusion system. The main ground-water recharge area lies on the medium to high lineament density zone (1.0 to 2.5 / km2) at the elevation of > 450 masl. with the character of spring discharge less than 10 l / sec, lightness of the stable isotopes 18O content, and in the condition of under- saturated until equilibrium with respect to CaCO3. The main ground-water discharge area lies at the elevation of 390-450 m asl with moderate to heavy of stable isotopes 18O content, and in the condition of saturated with respect to CaCO3. This area also has permanent springs with the largest discharge ± 1,300 l / sec, and artesian spring and well.
